Michelangelo's David

There are plenty of perfect male examples in different cultures. Tall, strong, heroic Michelangelo's David is undoubtedly one of the most widely influential of these images. Men use him as an ideal target, and others take him as one of the criteria for evaluation. In this series, I ask a question, would it be more powerful to promote a reflection on singular masculinity, if David shows body postures that contradict standard masculinity?
